Spaghetti with tomato sauce and prawns, simple pasta recipe full of flavor

Posted on January 28, 2020 by Dave Urban

Although in my house we make pasta recipes with vegetables or with minced meat or sausage more frequently, I recognize that I love to try any variation on the usual recipes. Therefore, this spaghetti with tomato sauce and prawns seem like a great preparation, which I recommend you try as soon as you have occasion.

With a shrimp broth mixed with homemade tomato fry, we get an intense flavor even though we barely use five ingredients to make this sauce. You will see how it will be one of your favorite pasta recipes as soon as you try it.

Ingredients

For 2 persons

  • Spaghetti150 g
  • Prawn (you can also use fresh prawns or prawns)200 g
  • Homemade tomato sauce,100 ml
  • Dried oregano to taste
  • Parmesan cheese to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

We start cooking the prawns in saltwater for 5 minutes to make a broth. Once cooked, peel and reserve. Add the heads to the broth and crush everything together with a hand mixer, then passing that broth through the fine sieve.

We prepare a good homemade fried tomato and add the shrimp cooking broth, then let it reduce a few minutes so that the flavors are uniformized. Meanwhile, we cook the pasta for as long as the manufacturer indicates.

Add the prawns to the tomato sauce and broth and serve the whole over the well-drained spaghetti. Sprinkle with black pepper, oregano, and Parmesan cheese and bring to the table immediately so that the pasta arrives very hot.

With what to accompany the spaghetti with tomato sauce and prawns

The best accompaniment for this recipe of spaghetti with tomato sauce and prawns, which on the other hand can perfectly serve as a single dish, is a burrata salad with dried tomatoes, pine nuts, and arugula, and so you have a purely Italian menu.
